from East Coast Line (OKB)
in Swedish State Railways (SJ) version

In year 1926, the East Coast Line (OKB) procured 15 metal body waggons from the German manufacturer Gotha. Of these, ten were used for local trains (seven class C3, and three class CD). The remaining five waggons, class CF, were used in local freight trains. They had the body of C3, and interior and loading doors of the same kind as SJ's class CF4. The loading doors were situated in inlays in the sides. For transport of xxx, were four waggons procured from Kockums in 1927, and given the class C3s. During the years 1929-1931, were an additional five C3 waggons procured from ASJ in Linkoping.

East Coast Line (OKB) was nationalized in 1933, and all waggons were transferred to SJ. Some of the waggons were in use to the 1960's.

Kit in H0 scale

The bodies are contrary to the OKB version not painted. They should be painted in red/brown colour and fitted with the SJ decals included in the kit.

The models have the same kind of chassis as SMJ's C3 waggons, but the body castings are completely new. Body, roof, chassis, and most details are cast in plastic. Platforms, gates etc. are etched in brass. NEM coupling mount pocket (coupling not included). Wheels. Marklin wheels on request. Decals for girders, and several different waggon numbers.
