In order to achieve a more smooth and comfortable run, eight class C3 waggons were rebuilt into four class CC3d in the 1930's. The "new" waggons consisted of two joined C3 waggons, resting on a 4-wheel boggie in the joint, a so called Jakob boggie. These four 2-waggon set-ups were later merged once again, into two 4-waggon arrangements, known as class CC4. The same year, two additional class CC4 and eleven class CC2, were built. During the years 1934-1939 an additional 34 waggons of class CC2 were rebuilt from class C3d as well as C3e.
The 45 meter long CC4 waggons proved over a period of time to be too awkward to handle. In 1939 they were divided into 8 class CC2 units. After all new and rebuilt versions, there were now 53 CC2 units in operation. After the major re-classification in 1956, the waggons were classed BB2. All these waggons were abandoned in the early 60's.
