Light grey original finish from 1914-1915, when the electrics were delivered from
Waggon and Machine Works in Falun, to the Swedish State Railways for "Malmbanan",
the iron ore line connecting the mines of the northern Swedish town of Kiruna,
with the shipping port of Narvik in Norway.

 
Färdigbyggd litt. Oa i reviderat utförande
Red/brown finish from the end of 20's, early 30's, when the electrics were overhauled.
These electrics were in use on the "Malmbanan" until the end of the 50's.

Ready-to-run iron ore heavy electric Swedish State Railways class Oa:

  • Injection moulded body. Metallic chassis.
  • Faulhaber engine with fitted flywheel on ball bearings.
  • Chassis designed with "Flexi chassis method"
    giving excellent running characteristics.

  • Individual number plates.
  • Carefully tested on SMJ's layout.
